The log message you saw from Kafka consumer simply means the consumer was disconnected from the broker that FetchRequest was supposed to be sent to. The disconnection can happen in many cases, such as broker down, network glitches, etc. The KafkaConsumer will just reconnect and retry sending that FetchRequest again. We have a lot of rows in Kafka's log: [Replica Manager on Broker 27]: Error when processing fetch request for partition [TransactionStatus,2] offset 0 from consumer with correlation id 61480. Possible cause: Request for offset 0 but we only have log segments in the range 15 to 52. For example, the fetch request string for logging "request handling failures", the current replicas LEO values when advancing the partition HW accordingly, etc.

And it happened twice in the same broker. It was 'OK' at first. I haven't had it for more than six months, but it appears suddenly. Since then, frequency has decreased, and now the same thing happens in one day.

I noticed that my Spring Kafka consumer suddenly fails when the group coordinator is lost. I'm not really sure why and i dont think increasing the max.poll.interval.ms will do anything since the time is set to 300 seconds. using:

Consumer Configurations. Below are some important Kafka Consumer configurations: fetch.min.bytes – Minimum amount of data per fetch request I am using HDP-2.6.5.0 with kafka 1.0.0; I have to process large (16M) messages so i set message.max.bytes=18874368replica.fetch.max.bytes = 18874368socket.request.max.bytes =18874368 From Ambary/Kafka configs screen and restarted Kafka services When I try to send 16M messages: /usr/hdp/current/kafk classmethod encode_offset_fetch_request (client_id, correlation_id, group, payloads, from_kafka=False) ¶ Encode some OffsetFetchRequest structs.

Am I anywhere close in thinking this could be a use case? Thank you very Kafka Issue: Many time while trying to send large messages over Kafka it errors out with an exception – “ MessageSizeTooLargeException ”. These mostly occurs on the Producer side.

18 Sep 2018 In this post we'll do exactly the same but with a Kafka cluster. of Kafka and Zookeeper to produce various failure modes that produce message loss. At some point the followers will stop sending fetch requests t

For example, the fetch request string for logging "request handling failures", the current replicas LEO values when advancing the partition HW accordingly, etc. For exception logging (WARN / ERROR), include the possible cause of the exception, and the handling logic that is going to execute (closing the module, killing the thread, etc). org.apache.kafka.common.errors.DisconnectException: null 2020-12-01 16:02:28.254 INFO 41280 --- [ntainer#0-0-C-1] o.a.kafka.clients.FetchSessionHandler : [Consumer clientId=consumer-gp-7, groupId=gp] Error sending fetch request (sessionId=710600434, epoch=55) to node 0: {}. I have a Kafka consumer (Spring boot) configured using @KafkaListener. This was running in production and all was good until as part of the maintenance the brokers were restarted. By docs, I was expecting that the kafka listener would recover once broker is back up.
